University Hospital St. Pölten
Oral and maxillofacial surgeon in St. Pölten
At University Hospital St. Pölten I am deputy first senior consultant of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon I operate there, place dental implants and hold my own consultation hours – appointments are made by telephone.
My consultation hours at the University Hospital
You can book an appointment in my consultation hours by calling +43 2742 9004‑22911 – Monday to Friday between 8:00 and 10:30 am. During the consultation I examine you, discuss the findings with you and plan the next steps together with you. Please bring any existing findings and X-rays.
Dental implants in St. Pölten
At the University Hospital I place dental implants – from replacing a single tooth to restoring a toothless jaw. If the bone in the upper jaw is no longer sufficient for conventional implants, zygomatic implants anchored in the cheekbone are an option in suitable cases. How much bone is available and which solution suits you is clarified beforehand using a three-dimensional X-ray.
Surgery at the hospital
At the department I perform oral and maxillofacial as well as dental surgery, including:
- dental surgical procedures such as surgical tooth and wisdom tooth extractions
- orthognathic surgery – jaw surgery for an underbite, overbite or open bite
- surgical jaw joint treatment, for example jaw joint lavage
- rhinoplasty for medical or aesthetic reasons
- medically necessary eyelid surgery with an ophthalmologist's report
Costs
Whether health insurance covers the costs depends on the treatment: statutory health insurance covers medically necessary orthognathic surgery including the inpatient stay. Wisdom tooth removal at the hospital is free of charge for you; for dental implants you receive an invoice (Honorarnote) that you can submit to your health insurer; the insurer decides on reimbursement. I will be happy to explain the procedure and costs of your treatment during the consultation.
In the St. Pölten area
In addition to the University Hospital, I treat patients in the practice of Dr. Romina Pfeffer, MSc in Frankenfels in the Pielach valley, St. Pölten‑Land district – there, among other things, wisdom tooth removal covered by the e‑card, implants, jaw joint treatment, Botox and fillers. I perform aesthetic eyelid surgery in cooperation with Dr. Matthias Karasek at his practice in St. Pölten. You will find my other locations under Oral surgeon in Lower Austria and Oral surgeon in Styria.
