Practices in Lower Austria
Oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Lower Austria
As a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery, I treat patients in Lower Austria in two practices: in St. Andrä‑Wördern in the Tulln district and in Frankenfels in the Pielach valley (St. Pölten‑Land district). I also operate at University Hospital St. Pölten – oral and maxillofacial as well as dental surgery. This way you receive dental implants, wisdom tooth removal and maxillofacial treatment close to home and from one specialist.
Dental implants in Lower Austria
I place dental implants in both practices – from single implants to a fixed restoration of a whole jaw on a few implants (All-on-X). If the bone of the upper jaw has receded severely, zygomatic implants are an option, which I place at University Hospital St. Pölten. Before every implant procedure, I carefully plan the position, angle and number of implants using a three-dimensional X-ray. For implant treatment you receive an invoice (Honorarnote) that you can submit to your health insurer; the insurer decides on reimbursement. More on the pages Dental implants and All-on-X and zygomatic implants.
Maxillofacial and dental surgery
My main areas in St. Andrä‑Wördern and Frankenfels include wisdom tooth removal, surgical tooth extractions, apicoectomies and gum surgery (oral surgery). These procedures are covered by statutory health insurance and billed directly via the e‑card – at no extra cost to you. They are usually carried out as outpatient procedures under local anaesthesia.
Jaw joint, Botox and fillers
For jaw joint problems (TMD) I offer functional analysis and therapy in both practices, including custom-made occlusal splints; more under TMJ treatment. I also treat with Botox there – medically for teeth grinding and jaw joint problems as well as aesthetically – and with fillers.
At University Hospital St. Pölten
At the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of University Hospital St. Pölten I work as a senior consultant and perform oral and maxillofacial as well as dental surgery – including procedures that require a hospital: orthognathic surgery to correct jaw misalignment, zygomatic implants, surgical jaw joint treatment such as jaw joint lavage, rhinoplasty and medically necessary eyelid surgery with an ophthalmologist's report. Aesthetic eyelid surgery is performed in cooperation with Dr. Matthias Karasek at his practice in St. Pölten. Consultation hours, implants and all procedures at the hospital are described under Oral surgeon in St. Pölten.
